Home/Services/Full Refurbishments

Full Refurbishments

Refurbishments that fix
the house, not just the look.

Whole-house and apartment refurbishments across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire — rewired, replumbed, reconfigured and finished properly.

Whole-house refurbishments, done once

A proper refurbishment is not decorating. It’s the chance to fix everything behind the walls — wiring, plumbing, heating, insulation, layout — so the finished home works for the next twenty-five years, not the next tenant viewing.

We refurbish period homes, dated purchases and city-centre apartments across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire. Recent work includes full apartment transformations: stripped back to shell, reconfigured, rewired, replumbed and finished to a standard that photographs like a show home because it’s built like one.

Typical scope

  • Reconfiguration — removing and moving walls (with proper structural design) to open up kitchen-living spaces.
  • Full rewires and new consumer units — certified electrical work throughout.
  • New plumbing & heating — boilers, radiators, underfloor heating, and bathrooms that don’t leak into the flat below.
  • Replastering & finishing — flat walls, crisp shadow gaps, doors that close properly. The stuff you notice every day.
  • Kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and decoration — the full finish, coordinated as one programme.

Why refurbs go wrong — and how ours don’t

Refurbishments fail on sequencing. Trades booked in the wrong order, finishes installed before wet trades are done, decisions demanded mid-build with no notice. We run refurbishments to a published programme with decision deadlines you’ll know weeks in advance — so the project moves in one direction: forward.

Common questions

How much does a full house refurbishment cost?

Full refurbishments in Greater Manchester typically range from £1,000 to £1,800 per square metre depending on the condition of the property and the specification. A full three-bed refurbishment usually falls between £80,000 and £150,000. Every quotation we issue is itemised room by room.

How long does a whole-house refurbishment take?

A full refurbishment of a three-bed home typically takes 12–20 weeks depending on structural work and specification. Apartments usually run 8–14 weeks. We publish the programme before starting and update you weekly.

Do you refurbish apartments as well as houses?

Yes. We regularly deliver full apartment refurbishments in and around Manchester city centre, including block management liaison, service risers, soundproofing regulations and restricted working hours — the details that catch out builders who only work on houses.

Can you handle the design as well as the build?

Yes. We work design-and-build with trusted architectural designers, so layouts, drawings and building regulations approval are handled alongside the construction under one contract.
