The Cahill Construction Group exists because Declan Cahill got tired of watching good homeowners get bad building work.
The story
Declan Cahill has spent more than 25 years in construction — starting on site and working through every trade discipline that matters: groundworks, structural work, joinery, and the finishing trades that separate an acceptable job from an exceptional one.
That background shapes how The Cahill Construction Group runs today. Declan prices the work himself, plans the programme himself, and is on site — not managing from a distance through subcontracted layers he’s never met.
The company takes on a limited number of projects at any one time across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire. That’s a deliberate choice. Quality doesn’t scale by accident, and our reputation is worth more than any single contract.
What we stand for
Itemised quotations with the provisional sums clearly flagged. If something changes on site, you hear about it the same day — with the cost — before the work happens.
Protected floors, sealed dust zones, a swept site every evening. We work in occupied homes constantly and behave like guests, because we are.
The difference between good and average work shows at year five, not week one. We build for year twenty-five — it’s in the name.
Range of work
Most weeks you’ll find us on residential extensions, lofts and refurbishments in Manchester’s best neighbourhoods. But the portfolio runs wider — including full commercial transformations like Kennedy’s Irish Bar and the Salford Rum Company’s bar and events space.
